The Story of an American in the Périgord

Following years of extensive travel, a New Yorker by birth, Andrée Oulmann resides in the Dordogne-Périgord region of South West France.

With an atypical career, Andrée, a dual-national, discovered a different life in Paris, where she worked for the trend forecasting and design bureau Studio Edelkoort.

Later on, her travels followed one after another, living for a time in Spain and Portugal, in Nordic countries and in Africa.

Seduced by the French art of living, Andrée chose to put down her bags in the heart of this beautiful region, surrounded by people she loves.

Captivated by photography since childhood, Andrée has always loved immortalizing the world she discovers, with curiosity and sensitivity. “I perceive that each day offers something different, its’ newness is in itself provoking. I guess you could say I am a visual gatherer”.

So naturally, Andrée photographs and films today her ecosystem, highlighting nature, men and women rich with authentic stories.
